A MASSIVE cyber-attack dubbed "the biggest" of its kind in history slowed the internet around the WORLD.

The web-based assaults were so powerful experts said they could have taken down our government's internet infrastructure. The worldwide web slowed as a row between a spam-fighting group and hosting firm - allegedly aided by Eastern European gangs - erupted. Popular sites such as Netflix have been affected and experts fear it may hit banking and email sites.

Arbor Networks, a firm which specialises in protecting against cyber-attacks, said it was the “biggest such attack” they had seen. While Matthew Prince, CEO of Internet security firm CloudFlare said: “These things are essentially like nuclear bombs". Five national cyber-police-forces are investigating the attacks.

The dispute was triggered by a row between a spam fighting group Spamhaus and a web hosting firm called Cyberbunker. Spamhaus, a group based in London and Geneva which helps filter spam, accused Cyberbunker of being behind the attack. Spamhaus offers spam-blocking services by patrolling the web for prolific spammers and publishing server details of the worst offenders. It claims to block 50billion junk emails every day.

The dispute began when Spamhaus allegedly added Cyberbunker to their blacklist. Spamhaus' internet servers were soon subjected to a Distributed Denial of Service attack (DDoS). A DDoS attack floods its target with vast amounts of meaningless data from multiple sources distributed across the internet until the target computers cannot cope and its internet traffic becomes 'jammed'. Spamhaus claim Cyberbunker was even helped by gangs from Eastern Europe and Russia. The cyber-assault is thought to have begun around March 19 and is still ongoing.

Steve Linford, chief executive for Spamhaus, said the scale of the attack was unprecedented and the attack's power would be strong enough to take down government internet infrastructure. He said: "If you aimed this at Downing Street they would be down instantly. They would be completely off the internet."

Mr Linford added: "We've been under this cyber-attack for well over a week. "But we're up - they haven't been able to knock us down. Our engineers are doing an immense job in keeping it up - this sort of attack would take down pretty much anything else."

  • Internet slows down after DNS attack on Spamhaus
  • Spamhaus is a major censorship organization only pretending to fight spam
  • Corporate media the Daily HATE backs government censors Spamhaus in global cyber attack battle

  • spamhaus The Spamhaus Project is a secretive self appointed censoring agent on the internet. They claim to be purely ensuring that spam does not clog it up but at the same time anything that goes out across the net and is seen as a threat to the establishment and its New World Order is forcibly removed . We have been aware for many years of web hosters removing websites that go against the corporate media .

We knew that there was some mechanism behind all of this as we had been attacked many times and forced to move our articles to multiple servers to avoid them getting lost. This latest attack gives us proof that the server was attacked by Spamhaus and the server was completely stripped of all websites using it to feed information out onto the net.
